About Peter
After a successful 14 years as a National Hunt jockey with over 1000 winners. Peter has been training both National Hunt and Flat horses from his Clovafield Stables since 2002. The stables sit on the outskirts of Barton-Le-Street near the racing town of Malton in North Yorkshire.
Since becoming a trainer the yards biggest wins have come from horses such as Posh Bird (winning the North Yorkshire Grand National at Catterick in 2012), Clever Cookie (a winner of 8 NH races & 6 flat races including at Group 2 Level in the Yorkshire Cup in 2016 and at Grade 2 level in the Premier Kelso Hurdle in 2014). In more recent years horses such as Brian Boranha and Malystic have demonstrated the yards training capabilities winning multiple times in NH races.
Peter is always looking to add horses to the stable, if you are interested in owning a horse please do not hesitate to contact the team. The yard has trained winners for syndicates, small groups as well as sole owners in the past producing winners at all levels from a small string, on the flat and over jumps.
